Dr. Kate Webb is a postdoctoral fellow mentored by Drs. Kerry Ressler and Nathaniel Harnett. She earned her PhD under the mentorship of Dr. Christine Larson at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and in collaboration with the Milwaukee Trauma Outcomes Project. Dr. Webb conducts both basic and translational research with neuroimaging techniques to elucidate the neural underpinnings of posttraumatic stress disorder. She leverages multimodal neuroimaging techniques to identify potential neural biomarkers associated with risk of developing posttraumatic symptoms or resilience in the aftermath of acute stress. Not all trauma exposed individuals go on to develop PTSD, and her work focuses on how sociopolitical contexts and individual factors interact to influence mental health outcomes. |
