Filomene MorrisonFilomene is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Ressler Lab investigating molecular mechanisms underlying the sensory processing of emotional environmental stimuli. Prior to receiving her Ph.D. from Emory University, GA, Filomene received her B.A. in Molecular and Cellular Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology from the University of California at Berkeley.
Her research in the Ressler Lab uses Pavlovian fear conditioning of rodents as a model towards understanding fear-related disorders, such as PTSD. In particular, she is interested in identifying the molecular mechanisms that underlie the plasticity of the primary olfactory system following the acquisition and extinction of olfactory fear conditioning. |
